Role Overview
Registered technician preparing non-sterile compounded preparations under pharmacist supervision per USP <795>.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare creams, capsules, solutions, and other non-sterile preparations
- Weigh, measure, and document accurately against master formulas
- Maintain equipment, logs, and beyond-use dating records
- Support inventory and active ingredient (API) handling
- Keep the compounding area clean and compliant
Requirements
- Active Virginia pharmacy technician registration required
- Minimum 1+ year of non-sterile compounding experience required
- Comfort with pharmaceutical calculations and precise measurement
- PTCB certification preferred
Preferred
- 503A pharmacy experience
